How I price commissioned artwork (and why I stopped undercharging)
Time, materials, skill, and the emotional weight of the work. I used to price by the hour and consistently undervalued the skill component. Now I price by the piece, factoring in all four elements. My income doubled and my clients respect the work more. Pricing is a skill too.
