1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using PostMySkill at postmyskill.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. The platform
PostMySkill is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects skillists offering skills and services with skill seekers. We facilitate connections but are not a party to any agreement between skillists and skill seekers.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract to use the Platform. By registering, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, providing accurate and truthful information, and not creating multiple accounts or impersonating another person. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
5. Skillist obligations
You must accurately represent your skills, experience, and qualifications; remain responsible for the quality and delivery of your services; comply with applicable laws, including tax obligations; and avoid misleading, fraudulent, or illegal service listings.
6. Skill seeker obligations
You must provide clear and accurate project requirements when making contact, not use the Platform to solicit services for illegal purposes, and pay agreed fees promptly and in full.
7. Payments and fees
Payments are processed securely via Stripe. The Featured skillist subscription is billed monthly at £3/month and can be cancelled at any time. Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy. PostMySkill is not responsible for disputes between skillists and skill seekers regarding payment for services.
8. Prohibited conduct
You must not post spam, fake reviews, or misleading content; attempt to circumvent the Platform to avoid fees; harass, threaten, or abuse other users; upload malicious code or attempt to compromise platform security; or violate applicable law or regulation.
9. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you post on the Platform. By posting, you grant PostMySkill a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and promote your content on the Platform. PostMySkill branding, design, and software remain our exclusive property.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Platform is provided as is. We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or reliability of any skillist's services. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PostMySkill's liability for any claim arising from use of the Platform is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. Sections 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
