The one thing I always tell clients before they choose a paint colour

Test it on the wall, not the tin. Paint looks completely different in your specific light at different times of day. I've seen clients fall in love with a colour in the shop and hate it on their walls. Always get a tester pot. Always live with it for 48 hours.
